Myrto Sakka

ミルト・サッカは、ギリシャ・アテネを拠点に活動するヴィジュアルアーティスト、システミック・セラピストです。

彼女の作品は、記憶、象徴、系譜、そして人間の経験を形づくる目に見えない構造を探究しています。

GENETO ART FOUNDATIONのアーティスト・イン・レジデンス・プログラムのために京都に滞在したミルトは、

日本の文化、仏教、神道、建築、家紋、そして比叡山延暦寺の精神性に触れながら、新しい絵画シリーズを制作しました。

彼女の作品は、日本の家紋や象徴的な形に着想を得ながら、ギリシャの神話的・哲学的背景と日本の精神文化との静かな対話を

生み出しています。

形、色、象徴を通して、目に見えない記憶や受け継がれるもの、文化を越えて響き合う精神性を表現しています。

本レジデンスで制作された作品は、

比叡山延暦寺・延暦寺会館にて「Architecture of Memory｜記憶の建築」として発表されました。

Myrto Sakka is a visual artist and systemic therapist based in Athens, Greece. Her work explores memory, symbols, lineage, and the invisible structures that shape human experience.

During her residency in Kyoto with the GENETO ART FOUNDATION Artist-in-Residence Program, Myrto encountered Japanese culture, Buddhism, Shinto, architecture, family crests, and the spiritual atmosphere of Enryaku-ji Temple on Mount Hiei. These experiences became the foundation for a new series of paintings created in Japan.

Her works draw inspiration from Japanese kamon and symbolic forms, while creating a quiet dialogue between her Greek mythological and philosophical background and Japanese spiritual culture. Through form, color, and symbol, she gives shape to invisible memory, inherited meaning, and spiritual resonance across cultures.

The works created during this residency were presented at Enryaku-ji Kaikan, Mount Hiei Enryaku-ji Temple, in the exhibition "Architecture of Memory｜記憶の建築"
