Jeremy Edwards 

ジェレミー・エドワーズはイギリス・リバプール出身で、サセックス州ブライトン大学にて三次元デザインを学びました。

現在はパリに在住し、スタジオを構えてデザイナーとして制作活動を続けています。また教育にも力を注いでおり、

ディジョン国立美術デザイン学校（ENSAD-Dijon、アート、都市・環境デザインを専門とする）およびパリのカモンド校

（プロダクトデザインとインテリア建築に特化）で教鞭をとっています。

彼の作品は、日常生活における「モノ」の役割に対する前提、概念、意味を問い直すことを目的としています。

インスピレーションの源は、シンプルな手段と日常的な素材・物を使い、生活を少しでも便利にしようとする人々の基本的でありながら本質的な工夫にあります。こうした工夫こそが、創造的なプロセスの幅を広げてくれると彼は考えており、人それぞれの視点から、

そのプロセスは異なる形で組み立てられる可能性があると信じています。

これまでに、バルセロナのGaleria H2O、コペンハーゲンのデンマーク工芸・デザイン博物館、パリのGalerie VIA、

ロッテルダムのボイマンス・ヴァン・ベーニンゲン美術館、ストックホルムの建築・デザイン国立センターなど、ヨーロッパ各地の

美術館やギャラリーで個展を開催しています。

Jeremy Edwards was born in Liverpool, England and studied 3 Dimensional Design at Brighton University, Sussex. He now lives in Paris where he maintains his studio practice working as a designer. He is also a committed educator, and teaches at the ENSAD-Dijon, National School of Art and Design (which covers the disciplines of art, urban & environmental design) and at the Ecole Camondo, Paris (which specialises in product design and interior architecture). Through his work, he tries to challenge assumptions, conceptions and meanings regarding the role objects play in everyday life. His influences come from the ordinary, basic but essential solutions people find when using simple means and everyday materials/objects that surround them, in order to make life easier. He believes that these solutions can broaden our view on what the creative process is and that this creative process, according to people’s own personal point of view, can be organised differently. He has had solo exhibitions at various museums and galleries in Europe including the Galeria H2O in Barcelona, the Danish Museum Art & Design in Copenhagen, the Galerie VIA in Paris, the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam and the National Centre for Architecture and Design in Stockholm.
